Marina Pugliese (Genoa, 24/09/68) is the former Director of the Museo del Novecento (Museum of the Italian '900) in Milan. In 2015 she moved to San Fransisco and is now Adjunct Professor at the California College of the Arts.
She is an art historian specialised in contemporary art techniques and conservation. Marina obtained her degree in art history with honours from the the Università degli Studi di Genova in 1998 and obtained her PhD in Contemporary Art History at the Università degli Studi di Udine in 2014. She is advisor to the international project POPART (Preservation of Plastic Artifacts in Museums) and member of the Advisory Board of Amaci (Associazione Musei d’Arte Contemporanea Italiani). Marina is an expert, evaluator and technical consultant of the Court on 20th century fine arts.
