Avv. Massimo Sterpi, born 1966, is a senior partner of Jacobacci & Associati, and specializes in IP and Art Law. A passionate contemporary art collector, he developed a well-known practice in art law, both in transaction and litigation, and is considered one of the best experts in this field at international level. He was Chair of the Art Law Committee of the IBA, and is member of the Legal Affairs Committee of ICOM, of the Advisory Board of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and of the Board of Directors of Fondazione Prada in Milano, as well as Mediator on Art and Cultural Heritage for WIPO. He co-curated – with Bruno Boesch – “The Art Collecting Legal Handbook” (2013, Thomson Reuters), the first publication comparing the legislations on art of 30 different countries and authored many publications in the field of IP and Art Law.
